Meet Chelbe
Intuitive Child & Family Advocate | Emotional–Academic Specialist | Parent Ally
I support children and families who feel unseen, misunderstood, or overwhelmed by traditional school and behavioral systems. My work blends evidence-informed advocacy, emotional–academic understanding, and a deep intuitive clarity about how children communicate, especially when they communicate differently.
I specialize in supporting:
highly sensitive children
children on the autism spectrum
non-speaking and minimally speaking children
children whose behaviors do not match their true abilities
children who shut down, mask, or become overwhelmed in school settings
Families come to me when their child is being misunderstood, behavior is escalating, communication feels confusing, or the school’s approach isn’t helping.
My role is to help parents finally understand what their child is experiencing beneath the surface so they can receive the support, structure, and accommodations their child needs to thrive both academically and emotionally.
My approach bridges three worlds:
child advocacy, emotional–academic insight, and intuitive clarity.
This combination allows me to translate what a child is trying to express, even when they cannot verbalize it.
How I Became an Advocate
My path began long before adulthood, even in high school, I was drawn to children others struggled to understand.
I was in an ROP early-childhood education program where we ran a preschool classroom, and I naturally gravitated toward the kids who were considered “defiant” or “hard to reach.” Even at that age, I could read what was happening beneath their behavior. I didn’t know it then, but it was the beginning of the work I do now.
Years later, as a mother navigating school systems for my own children, that gift only deepened.
I saw firsthand how quickly kids can be misunderstood, dismissed, mislabeled, or overlooked when their needs don’t fit the standard mold. I sat in meetings where emotional needs were mistaken for behavior issues, where sensitivity was interpreted as defiance, and where parents were left without clear answers.
Alongside my lived experience, I spent years working professionally in subconscious pattern work, emotional wellness, and inner-child healing for adults. In that work, I learned to read what someone is experiencing beneath the behavior, the shutdown behind overwhelm, the anxiety inside refusal, the sensory overload beneath “defiance,” and the nervous-system patterns that shape how a person responds.
Those skills naturally extended to children.
Families often came to me when something felt “off,” especially with sensitive children, autistic children, and non-speaking children whose communication looks different. I helped them understand their child in clear, grounded ways when no one else could fully explain what was happening.
I witnessed the transformation that happens when a child finally feels understood, and the relief parents feel when someone sees the full picture.
It became clear that this wasn’t just something I was good at…
It’s the work I was always meant to do.
My Approach with Children & Families
Every child is different. Every family has a story. I support families through a three-part framework:
1. Deep Listening & Observational Insight
I listen for what is said and what is not said. I notice patterns, overwhelm, shutdown, emotional triggers, sensory responses, and how a child communicates through behavior, especially autistic children and non-speaking children who express themselves nonverbally.
2. A Holistic Understanding of the Child
I look at the whole child, not just the behavior. This includes:
emotional needs
sensory processing
communication differences
learning profile
nervous-system responses
executive functioning
social and school environment
developmental patterns
When you view a child through all of these layers, everything they’re struggling with begins to make sense, and appropriate support becomes clear.
3. Clear, Actionable Guidance
Parents leave every session with clarity, not confusion. You’ll know:
what your child is experiencing
why behaviors are happening
which accommodations are appropriate
how to communicate with teachers
what to request in 504 or IEP meetings
how to advocate confidently
what steps to take next academically and emotionally
Everything is grounded, specific, and immediately useful.
